Donor Advised Funds

The Tropics Foundation partners with FidelityCharitable to support contributions that flow directly through your Donor Advised Funds (DAF). A donor-advised fund is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably-inclined individual, families and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock and in some case, certain illiquid assets, to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.

Make a gift today to accelerate sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean

Donations to the Tropics Foundation support education, environment, and community development projects at The Tropical Agriculture and Higher Education Center (CATIE). CATIE is a vetted, highly accomplished, trusted local actor whose programs advance nature-based solutions to combat climate change, accelerate the transformation to sustainable food, land and water systems, and create more inclusive, equitable communities.

The world as we know it is running out of time. With your support we will scale what we know works to build an unstoppable force of young people creating locally-led action that addresses critical development challenges in Latin America.

Donations to The Tropics Foundation are tax deductible (nonprofit Tax ID: 31-1657304)

Within the pages of this special digital book, you will find 25 "wishes" collaboratively designed by CATIE staff allowing supporters an opportunity to contribute during the season of giving.

The book will be released on Giving Tuesday, November 28th and donors may use their donor-advised funds or the link in the book to make grant requests to fulfill the "wishes" on a rolling basis between November and March.

We thank you in advance for your support of CATIE on its 50th Anniversary and for helping make the Latin American region a stronger, healthier, more resilient place to call home.
