Tatiana Espinosa Powerful

Leadership for the Amazon

🏆 One of Forbes Perú’s 50 Most Powerful Women (2025)

We are proud to celebrate the recognition of Tatiana Espinosa Quiñones, graduate of CATIE’s Master's in Tropical Forest Management and Biodiversity, who has been named one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in Peru” by Forbes Perú.

Tatiana’s story is more than an individual achievement — it’s a powerful example of how vision, science, and leadership can protect the world’s most precious ecosystems.

🌱 Protecting the Amazon, One Hectare at a Time

As CEO and founder of ARBIO Perú, Tatiana leads a team—primarily of women—that has protected 916 hectares of Amazon rainforest in Madre de Dios for over 15 years. Through community-driven conservation strategies, ARBIO connects people and companies with the living pulse of the Amazon, creating an alliance between nature and society.

There are still huge gender gaps — especially outside Lima — but we keep paving the way with commitment, courage, and care. Real power is collective.
— Tatiana Espinosa
