CATIE has earned international respect through its use of interdisciplinary research to solve real challenges in rural Latin American and Caribbean countries. Today CATIE has joint projects with more than 200 institutions in Latin America, the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, and its ability to partner effectively with public and private institutions continues to bring critically needed resources to the region.
